I have a new boss! Dr. Caroline Crocker!
I’m pleased to report Dr. Caroline Crocker has been appointed the Executive Director of the IDEA Center.
Dr. Caroline Crocker Named First Executive Director of the IDEA Center
Her story was aired on national TV, August 13, 2006 in a documentary hosted by Dr. D. James Kennedy. Dr. Crocker, Ed Sisson, Christy Chenette, and myself were featured in the documentary. You can see the 8-minute documentary online here:
ID Controversy in the Universities
We had in mind that Dr. Crocker would be an excellent counterpart to Eugenie Scott of the NCSE.
Dr. Crocker is not a creationist.
She is somewhat agnostic to the issue having been a Theistic evolutionist most of her Christian life.
However, she asked me about why I believe in a Young Earth and Special Creation. I said that I formally believe in the possibility, but I’m not 100% sold on the idea yet. However, I said there is rampant evidence of Genetic Entropy which suggests biology has been created and genomes have been deteriorating extensively. She agreed that it is her observation genetic defects are on the rise and that selection is not curbing the emergence of these defects. It’s quite obvious to her that Natural Selection is not up to what it is sold to the public to be.

Natural selection was essential for the evolutionary process as it prevented change. By preventing change it has ensured extinction without which there could never have been progressive ascending change. There is nothing new in this perspective.
“The struggle for existence and natural selection are not progressive agencies, but being, on the contrary conservative, maintain the standard.”
Leo Berg, Nomogenesis, page 406 (1922)
Even before Berg -
“Natural selection is a real factor in connection with mimicry, but its function is to conserve and rendor preponderant an already existent likeness, not to build up that likeness through the accumulation of small variations, as is so generally assumed.”
Reginald C. Punnett, Mimicry in Butterflies, page 152 (1915)
Earlier still, St George Jackson Mivart asked in his book “Genesis of Species” (1871) and I paraphrase because I don’t have the source with me -
“How can natural selection have been involved in a structure which had not yet appeared?”
Natural selection, the cornerstone of the Darwinian fairy tale, never had anything to do with the origin of species or with the subsequent history of those species beyond the elaboration of subspecies or intraspecific varieties, none of which ever were or are now incipient species.
No one has ever transformed any species into a new one through the most intensive of selection. The last serious attempt was by Theodosius Dobzhansky with Drosophila and it is to his credit that he admiited failure. How he managed to remain a Darwinian is a mystery.
All creative evolution was emergent, scheduled and took place largely independent of environmental stimuli.
There is no evidence that such evolution is still in progress.

Sal
I see from comment #1 that you have some real high class clientele here. And there are so many of them! Thousands of sycophantic, homozygous atheist followers of P.Z. (godless liberal) Myers, Christopher (hiccup) Hitchens and Richard (blind watchmaker) Dawkins, all three of whom have abandoned any pretense of science to dedicate the rest of their pathetic lives to the cause of Universal Atheism.
It is hard to believe isn’t it?
“Never in the history of human conflict have so many owed so little to so many.”
after Winston Churchill
This is like shooting fish in a barrel.
And you notice how they always remain anonymous? They do that because they know damn well they haven’t a leg to stand on or a window to throw it out of - that’s why! All they can now do is attack those of us who have always recognized that there was a purpose and a goal in the history of life, a history which I believe is finished.
Just remember Sal -

John A. Davison
Be grateful they are so willing to expose themselves as the “prescribed” intellectual trash they mostly all are and always have been. I admire you for your Christian tolerance.
